How do I join the ZuCan program 

Apply online on the Automated Community Connection to Economic Self-Sufficiency (ACCESS) at www.myflorida.com/accessflorida
 
To apply for the intensive program, simply complete the application and select the option to receive cash assistance. You may also select to receive food stamps if you wish.
 
To apply for the volunteer program, complete the application and select to receive food stamps only.
 
What happens after I fill out an application on the ACCESS website? 
 
Unless you are caring for a disabled family member who lives in your home or you are receiving cash assistance for a relative’s child, you will be required to participate in the program immediately. 
 
If you are joining the full program, congratulations! To join the ZuCan program, follow the steps below:
 
Step 1:  Watch the Introduction to the ZuCan Program webinar and follow the directions in the webinar. You must provide the completed and signed documentation to the ZuCan staff member as instructed in the webinars.
 
Step 2:   Watch the Professional Standards webinar and follow the directions in the webinar. You must provide the completed and signed documentation to the ZuCan staff member as instructed in the webinars. 
  
Step 3:  Watch the next webinar that is most appropriate for your situation:
  1. If you are not working, attending classes and are able to work or go to school, please watch the Job Club Webinar. We will ask you to print information and bring it with you when you start attending Job Club Session.
     
  2. If you are working, please watch the Employed Applicant Webinar. We will ask you to print information and to send us by fax; documents must be received completed to help you join the ZuCan program. Follow the directions in the webinar closely.
     
  3. If you are registered to attend school and going to classes each week, please watch the Applicants in School Webinar. We will ask you to print information and send us by fax; documents must be received completed to help you join the ZuCan program. Follow the directions in the webinar closely.
     
  4. If you are not able to go to work or school because of a medical issue or because you are caring for a disabled family member who lives in your home, please watch the Exceptions Webinar. We will ask you to print information and send us by fax; documents must be received completed to help you join the ZuCan program. Follow the directions in the webinar closely.
Step 4:  You will start participating in activities immediately, which are a part of the career-development program, right away. If you are working, we will encourage and help you access services so you can keep working. If you are going to school to get a vocational certificate, we will help you access services so you can continue going to classes and graduate. If you are not working, going to school and are able to work, you will start attending Job Club activities.
